How we write and check this site
This site is written for volunteer HOA treasurers who need to trust what they read. Here is where our facts come from, what we won’t publish, and how every page is checked and dated.

Where our facts come from
Law and tax: official sources
A legal or tax rule is only stated with its official source: the IRS, the state’s statutes or the state’s official website. Where rules vary by state or by governing documents, we say so rather than guess.
Other products: their own pages
Prices and features of other products come only from each product’s own public pages, with the date we checked shown beside them. No third-party reviews, no memory.
KeepHOA: the app itself
What we say KeepHOA does is what the app does today. Screenshots are the real app, showing the Maple Court sample HOA — a sample, not a customer.
Prices: one setting
KeepHOA’s price, trial and refund period come from one setting, so every page, the structured data and the free tools show the same numbers.

What we won’t publish
No reviews, ratings or invented numbers
No testimonials or ratings
No reviews, star ratings, quotes from customers or “as seen in” badges.
No invented statistics
No customer counts or survey numbers. Examples use the sample HOA’s figures.
No made-up credentials
Authors are named as they are. Until the people behind KeepHOA are introduced on the about page, pages are signed “KeepHOA team”.
Review and dates
How pages are checked and dated
- Planned first. Each page is written from a plan that sets what it must cover and the sources it may use.
- Checked before it goes live. Every page goes through the same checklist: facts against the app and the sources, one clear heading structure, the questions in the structured data word for word the same as the ones on the page, and no link to a page that doesn’t exist.
- Dated honestly. “Last updated” is the date the page’s files last changed, from the site’s version history — including the data it shows, like prices and other products’ facts. The sitemap carries the same date.
- Re-checked when facts change. Other products’ facts are checked again on their own pages before the comparison is edited, and the new date is shown.

Where do the prices of other products come from?
From each product’s own pricing page, on the date shown next to them. We don’t use third-party reviews or remember prices from elsewhere, and we re-check before the comparison changes.
What does “Last updated” mean?
It’s the date the page’s source files last changed, taken from the site’s version history — including the data the page shows, such as prices. The sitemap uses the same date.
